100% Design is only 1 day away!
I finally grappled with the colours after discussing with Design Factory and it turns out that the colours are from their logo! If only they’d told me this way back in April, I’d have finished long ago.
I have used a section of the Design Factory Logo as my starting point for the design, and woven three wall panels, three cushions and a window panel.
I chose part of the section at the top of the logo and chopped it into three sections and wove a section for each panel, using the Theo Moorman technique which looks like the textured areas are floating on the surface of the fabric. I have to say I’m quite pleased with the over all effect.
I decided not to make the rug I had planned, as it was going to take much longer than I’d anticipated.
Below are the three sections I worked with. I used the dark green from the logo as the back ground fabric and used a mid-green and pale green for the textured detail.
I took a few of the lines and made them bigger and linked them from one section across all three, so that all three panels can be displayed side by side or independently and still look good!
