I’ve finally finish weaving the burette and spun silk cushions and I’m really pleased. The colours are really bright and the texture is just what I wanted to achieve. For those in the know, I crabbed the fabric to keep the texture and set the weave, then washed in hot water, rinsed, then spun dry and hung over a clothes airer to dry. All I’ve to do now is cut the fabric and sew the cushions.
Here are is the yarn, each colour matched to the design and hand dyed.
The lozenge shapes are much more pronounced when off the loom and finished. Hope you like it!
